800x600 There were three types of body styles for the 1965 Pontiac GTO: convertible, hardtop , and sport coupe (pillar). This is a sport coupe which is the rarest style of the three with only 8,319 made for 1965. This is an original, numbers matching second owner car with a 389 engine, 4-barrel carb, three speed, posi-traction, power brakes, power steering, and decent redline tires. The upholstery is good with just a small tear in a few of the seams. There is no radio. The odometer reads 120,600. The car has a newer clutch, rear control arms, stainless brakelines/brake cylinders, distributor, battery, and a re-cored original Harrison radiator. A dual port brake master cylinder was added for safety purposes. There is some rust in the usual areas, however the rear lower quarter panels were repaired in a manner that isn’t consistent with the style of the original panel.
