"This item has been re-listed due to a non paying bidder". This auction is for a 1965 Brown Classic VW Beetle with a 6V system. This car needs a full restoration but is in good workable condition. The body and pan are in very solid condition with only minor surface rust. The engine runs great but needs an air filter, and the throttle cable connected and a new set of pedals. The Gas Tank was removed because it was very leaky. The front bumper was removed because it was bent beyond repair. The doors need realignment. The engine hatch is not bolted on, and shows heat damage from the previous owner. "Let me say this just to be clear". This is a 6V system car with a new battery. The previous owner was an idiot and put a 12V battery in backwards and started an electrical fire. The damage has since been repaired. "That is why the hatch is burned". The mechanical fuel pump has been rebuilt. The upholstery is very bad but the head liner is perfect. It has the original radio with wooden knobs. 3 out of 4 rims match but all tires are bad. I am including a role of vinyl material that i was planning on using for the interior, 4 new shocks, and a vintage windshield wiper timer. I am sure the breaks need work but i her got that far to inspect them. All of the windows are in good condition and all of the seals are fair. Some of the original items are included as well, the cigarette lighter, gas tank sending unit, some extra head lights and if you are interested i have a set of 1965 plates. This car will not start in its present condition but i can charge up the battery and turn over the motor to show it docent sound like a bag of hammers. If you want you can stand there and pour gas in the carb and listen to it run, or you can take my word for it and reference my 100% feedback score.
