AWESOME VOLKSWAGEN TYPE 3 SQUAREBACK! You are viewing a nice 1970 VW Type 3 squareback wagon. This is a california car that was brought to Utah in 2004. These classics are hard to find (especially the automatics). This is a very cute car, everyone one loves the way this car looks. People have been stopping by our place just to take pictures with it. The car RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECTLY. The engine is extremely quiet for a VW and the 3 speed transmission works perfectly. This car needs some work, as do most cars that are nearly 50 years old! With minimal work it could be a daily driver, and is also a great candidate for restoration. There is minimal rust on the body. There is some rust in the rear cargo area. The body overall is solid. No major dents, but needs some body work. The paint shows its age...faded and some scratches/dings. The rear floor pans have been replaced, and the front floorpans have some rust but overall are nice and strong. It needs the obvious restoration work done on the interior, upholstery, seals, headliner, vents etc. All glass is complete with no cracks. Brand new battery. Headlights work, as do 3 of 4 blinkers.
