The tag are good until April 2014. Also keep in mind you can sell the car to a recycling company and they will give you a few hundred the same day for it. But they assume it doesn't work at all. If you decide to go this route I recommend getting various quotes because some of them low ball price people and others offer a lot more. Why didn't I go this route? Because I'm hoping to get more out of the auction and I've already committed to the auction.
