1970 Mustang Mach1 428 Cobra Jet "R" code Shaker car. Unmolested fresh barn find that still wears all original body panels , has never been hit or taken apart and still has the factory paint. This is a certified "R" code car as the Marti report shows. The interior is all stock with a fold down seat and a C-6 automatic P/S, P/D/B. the car still retains its 3.50 N-Case rear and 31 spline axles. the numbers matching engine and trans are long gone also missing are the shaker assembly, exhaust manifolds and carb ( what you see is what you get ). The engine in the car is a date coded ( Jan 14 1970 ) Cobra jet ( the block has the "C" on the back of the block and 3 tapped oil galleys with the reinforced webbing ). The heads are N-code with 16 head bolts and the intake has the "C" on it, the transmission has the cast iron tail shaft with a "H" servo. All rails look solid and the shock towers have no rust. The floorpans , torque boxes , and trunk will require attention as do all mustangs of this age. This is a life long southern car that has a clear N.Y. registration.
