Murry of Omaha NE purchased this car on july 25 1977 for 5949.00 with no trade in.robert drobve the car 11000 miles the first year and loved it but in 1978 he purchased a 1978 camaro z28.robert sold the car to his younger brother Don Murry because he couldnt handle 2 payments Don was in sales and used the car as his daily driver and his sales vehicle, during 1978 dons job took him to lubbock tx and he took the can am.in 1979 don again moved due to his job and this time to colorado don lived and worked in arvada co during the 80`s and the can am was still his daily/sales car.most of the milage put on before 1985 on the highways some interesting occurrences during his ownership: a rock craked the windshield in boulder canyon in 1983.the drivers door was back into in a parking lot and dented.don had the door re-skinned and both sides of the car repainted white and lower black done as well.don did not have access to the stripes on the sides so he left them off..the hood roof and decklid retain the orig paint.(the reskinned and paint where poor quality)only rust is bottom of reskinned door.(have replacement rust free door(green). one winter night in the late 80`s a friend of his jumped in the drivers seat and broke the upper half.have replaement seat. one early morning in 1988 after a night of partying and running down the highway i-25 at 120 the engine seized up and stopped running.according to don no noise just silance.later that day, they towed the car home to arvada co and pushed into the garage.don purchased a 1976 grand prix with a 455.he pulled the orig 400 and trans and put in the 455 and trans out of the grand prix.don cont to drive the car but now only as weekend cruiser with intentions of restoring one day in 1990 don relocated back to omaha ne he drove the car back.sometime after arriving bak in nebraska but still 1990 the 455 started making noises so he rented storage locker and parked the car and locked the doors. in 2010 a buisness op came up and don decided he was never going to get to the can am and needed the funbds for the buisness so he sold it in late 2010 to charles cummings of thornton co for 7500.00 after 20 years of dry storage the can am saw the light of day when charles borught a trailer and towed back to colorado charles placed the car under a car port and started looking into restoring it.he admitted it was an emotional impulse buy and he always wanted one but soon realized it was far froma driver so he focused his time and money on a couple mopars he had and put the can am up forsale in summer of 2011..it was then sold to mark niksic of conton co and that is where i purchased the car and trailered it to boulder city nevada because like charles have always wanted one..i now live with an hoa and was told to get rid of some of my cars..dont buy house in an hoa..i have decided to just get nice pontiac i can cruise and show and enjoy..so i have two pontiac projects that i am selling to do this. please ask all questions prior to bidding.sold as is as described car needs to be restored.does not run will have to be trailered..all extra parts sould fit in the car for transport..500 dep due within 24 hours and balance within 7 days..paypal only for dep..rest wire transfer or cash..car and title wont leave to funds clear.hate to sell took me long time to find one this clean/complete and with orig papers.rare op to own unique pontiac history, possible take trade
