This is a rare 1979 classic Volkswagen fuel injected red beetle convertible. It is the last year the beetle was made in the United States, and the first year that "fuel Injection" was introduced. The beeetle runs and looks great, it has brand new tires (less than 100 miles on the tires), the convertible top is like new, has a am/fm radio with cassete, rear defogger in the conv top, 4-speed transmission, (even the clock works!) The speedometer says 28,000 miles, but I cannot varify that. It also has a has a spare tire and jack. The oil was changed every 3000 miles, and it is a fun car to drive especially with the top down! and it is in great condition for a 35 year old car. The beetle is currently registered, (with classic historical insurance) which would cost you about $175.00 for the year with full coverage!! . This is a great attractive classic car that turns heads when you drive it. According to "Conceptcarz" (conceptcars.com) ,1979 was the last year for the famous Volkswagen Beetle convertible, but not certain if it was the last year made in the US, and I believe that 1975 was the first year that fuel injection was introduced, not 1979.
