Rare 2005 Jeep Liberty Turbo Diesel with engine that requires service or replacement. Body is in very good condition. Some scratches and dings - the worst of which is pictured. Personal vehicle with alarm system and satellite radio. Upholstery is in good condition with little wear and no tears or holes. A professional cleaning should restore upholstery to near new. Trail rated 4x4. Powerful and shockingly quick with great gas mileage when it was running well - About 22mpg with no modifications. If you are reading this far you know how rare these vehicles are. I searched far and wide before I found this one and it has served me well. It was my get around town car with the primary purpose of keeping miles off my Dodge Ram. I also wanted the option of running on biodiesel and did so perfectly. Since I no longer have use for two vehicles, I decided to prepare it for sale. I was aware that the check engine light was on and it was running a bit sluggish. I figured it just needed a tuneup...unfortunately, my trusted mechanic determined it would likely need a new engine. I thought about investing in the engine swap, then reselling for what I know this vehicle is worth fully functional, but decided against it. I figure someone who wants this as much as I did a few years ago will enjoy the process and do to their liking. I did do some preliminary research and found rebuilt crate replacement engines can be found in the $2,000 to $2,800 range. Other than this unfortunate problem, the Jeep is awesome and I will miss it. Solid, Fast, and reliable. I took good care of it. 4 wheel drive was regularly engaged so it didn't forget why it was made! Also, when I purchased the vehicle, it had a Sirius satellite radio. I have never paid a monthly subscription and have enjoyed for as long as I've owned. It works 90% of the time. Every tenth time I used vehicle - static. The next time I start up its back. I have no explanation and make no promises it will continue....call it a quirk:) The pictures tell the rest of the story. Clear California title in hand. I have done a thorough nationwide search for comparables , and know what others have sold for - even with defective engines. Not desperate to sell...PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS. I have disclosed the engine issue to the best of my ability and stand behind my eBay reputation. Again - SOLD AS IS - engine likely needs replacing. It is not currently registered..June 6 was registration date so that needs to be understood. It does start up and drive but not available for test drives because of the unknowns involved.
