800x600 FOR SALE 1972 WESTFALIA CAMPER This auction has no reserve! It will be sold to the highest bidder at the end of the sale! We will let the current market determine the final selling price! With a little bit of work this van will be on the road in no time, camping the summers away! This westfalia camper has been off the road for a few years now and will need a few things gone over in order to put it back on the road. The camper kit includes a double bed, dinette table and jump seat, an ice box and sink. This van also has a propane gas heater under the rear jump seat. Previous owned stated that the van was running when parked and that it ran well. The engine is a 1600cc dual port that was a rebuilt unit a few years before the bus was parked. The brakes will need gone over as will the engine. It looks as if it will need new fuel lines, new canvas pop top, battery ect. The engine turns over freely and has compression. The tires were just replaced and wheels painted, the 2 front tires are new and the rear are good used! This is a fairly solid bus with only some rust through on the body. There is rust through in both rear corners and some holes in the front floors. The rockers are in great shape as is the doglegs and lower inner and outer front nose! The inner wheel wells are also solid. This is not your typical nasty rust bucket, it is a good solid bus with only minor rust that is fixable. The previous owner went around the bus with spray paint and hit the scabby areas to help them from spreading and to make it look better. You could roll this bus as is or have it painted and it would be worth a lot of money! The interior is in good shape for the age and is still very function able. The headliner wood panels are in great condition and look really nice. Like I said with minor work you could have a decent little camper! Please remember this bus sat for a number years and the engine is not currently running and will need going over as will the brakes. The brake pedal currently has no pressure and obviously no stopping power! Probable just need bled out! Please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and it will need fixed, you will have to work on it in order to put it on the road. As with any 40 year old vehicle you can expect, but not limited to - dirt, dents, dings, chips, scabs, rust, fading paint, mechanical issues, and or any other normal wear and tear issues that comes with an antique vehicle.
