Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1960 Chevrolet BelAir. I bought this car out of Colorado. It spent all of its life in Colorado except the past few years. It has very little rust on the car. The panels are all original. The floor pans are solid. It has an upgraded drivetrain including a 350 engine (GM block 3956618) with a four barrel carb and high performance GM double hump heads from the late 60s. The transmission is a TH350 and is solid. The car starts right up, no smoke, and drives like a dream. The engine and transmission are strong and without any issues. The car has a nice rumble to it with dual exhaust. I think the engine is equivalent to the 350/300HP engines that came in the 1st generation SS Camaro. Sounds and pulls very similar. I had the alternator rebuilt about 6 months ago, works perfect. All the chrome on the car is in good shape except for the mid door trim down the sides. Both sides have a few minor dents in them. The hood lip trim is also bent in the middle. I bought another nice clean original one that goes with the car. The left side of the front bumper is slight bent as can be seen in the photos. All the other trim is in great condition. Passenger Door lower back paint has a few small bubbles. Interior is original. Seats are okay but need new covers. Head liner original and torn about 6 inches along two seams. Front glass is cracked. Hood lip trip slightly bent, but a original one in great condition is included (see pics). Trunk pan is solid but rusted (no active rust). Trunk needs to be primed and painted. The tires have a lot of tread, many miles left on them. The top is in great condition. The suspension is in great condition. All the lights work and are original. One of the photos shows all the extra parts that come with the car including an original AM radio in excellent shape, the extra trim pieces, an extra original speedometer in excellent shape, some additional original glass for quarter windows and vent, spare tire, etc.The car can be driven with confidence. It has been a solid driver for us without any problems other than the alternator when I first bought it. Please let me know if you have any questions.
