Vehicle Detail

90% restored 1967 Mustang Fastback, was a C-code 289 3-speed car, and is all original except for the 351 Cleveland and toploader tranny. (Car had factory AC, but is no longer in place other than the dash controls and vents.) No rust anywhere, floors, rockers and rear quarters and wheel housings have all been replaced. Too much to list, really, and I'll probably forget something, but the engine has been completely rebuilt top to bottom, everything new. It has KB pistons, a lunati cam, clevite bearings, Weiand intake, Holly 670 Street Avenger carb, MSD 6AL ignition with a Mallory distributor, Taylor 8.8 wires, the 2V heads have had hardened seats installed. Block is .040" over. If I recall correctly, it is a 280 duration cam, has distinct lopey idle. Long tube headers into a full stainless Magna Flow exhaust. Custom aluminum radiator. Interior is all original to the car other than the carpet and headliner, and is in pretty good shape considering it's age, drivers seat has a few small tears, and the "chrome" on the plastic parts is thinning in places. (It does need new door panels.) Car has had "granada" spindles and front disc brakes installed, new master cylinder and an adjustable proportioning valve. (No vacuum booster, no room with the Cleveland.) Painted the original color, Acapulco Blue, with a single stage urethane. Has not been wet sanded or buffed, paint is not "show car" nice, but is perfectly acceptable for a nice driver. Glass is all original, has the expected scratches and sand pits, and the windshield has a wiper scratch that can be polished out.Console is original, but has a custom shifter plate installed, the shifter is a vintage aftermarket with a reverse lockout. Please contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos. On Sep-04-14 at 13:09:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust D's, tires are BFG TA Radials. On Sep-09-14 at 04:24:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several questions on this, please read the shipping and payments tab of this listing. Transfer of the title and posession of the vehicle will not be made until the cash or certified check presented for final payment is verified and cleared by my bank. Thanks. On Sep-09-14 at 05:39:45 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer several more questions, and as stated above, the paint is not "show car" quality, but acceptable. Body lines are very straight, door gaps are acceptable, not perfect. Barely visible in a couple of the photos, the doors are a very slightly darker shade than the body due to an error on the painter's part. Not really noticeable unless viewed from the right angle. or light.
