1956 GMC 150 Pick UpThis truck is a very low mileage truck , prior to the restoration(30,000) now only 31,000 total vehicle life. It has recently been restored and looks great. It now has a Chevy 350 roller cam/rocker motor with headers, 4 barrel carburetor and Aluminum intake manifold. High torque starter, aluminum radiator and recovery tank. Rigid fan plus electric puller fan on a toggle switch. New battery, custom exhaust, that sounds great and exits through chrome tips. The transmission is a 700 R 4 with electric lock out switch, new drive shaft and universal joints. The rear end is a limited slip 3:43 with disc brakes.The brake system is all new including a new dual reservoir master cylinder, new shoes and wheel cylinders. The trucks body is very solid with a new visor and slick '92 Saturn Yellow and Wimbledon White paint. This combination looks great and receives lots attention at local cruise in's and shows. The bed has new oak boards and bed strips, also tailgate and graphic. The wheels were refinished, then added stainless center caps and trim rings and chrome lug nuts. Tires are new Goodyear Eagles. The interior is also has yellow and white paint and new matching yellow and white upholstered bench seat and new yellow seat belts with chrome aircraft style latches. There is a new fuel cell and lines behind the seat. The trans has a Hurst floor shifter. Truck runs down the road great and stays under 2000 rpms at freeway speeds. It gets more attention then high end street rods I've owned. Everyone checks it out and smiles, then most with cameras take a picture.
