For sale is a 1997 Ford Explorer (Green). It has 190,006 miles on it, runs good, good for a parts car- due to rust; on the left rear corner of the chassis there is a small area of major rust damage which would require attention. In my opinion, I would not recommend driving it in its current shape until the chassis has been addressed. There is also some rust issues on the rear bumper and running boards. The 4WD works, the transmission shifts well, minor oil leak in engine, the rear driver-side door does not open as well as the tailgate- due to the interior cable snapping. Gauges all work, the interior is in good shape but could use a good cleaning, the front tires were just replaced with new ones and the back tires have some tread on them. The AC doesn't work, it probably needs to be recharged. Overall, I've really enjoyed this vehicle but with the rust issues I've decided to move onto a newer vehicle. To the right person, this could be a good truck if the rust issues are addressed; if not it would make a great parts truck. I'm selling this AS-IS so I recommend you review the pictures carefully.
