Vehicle Detail

Here is a really nice (I think so) 73 Datsun 620. This was the first full tear of production for these. A little history. I Bought this 5 years ago this week. I used to have one of these in the 70's. The truck was originally from California, and the Ebay seller was in Alabama.it was pretty rough, and he was going to part it out if it didn't sell. This truck is 95% rust free. I'm going to show pictures of the floor before I put the carpet in. Take note that I am NOT a professional Restorer. I took this apart to almost a bare frame. Everything that I could get apart was cleaned and painted. not just a quick coat of black either. The underside of the cab and bed were brushed with POR15.There were 2 finger size holes on the rocker panels that were fixed with fiberglass. 3 years later, and it still looks good. Here's a list of new parts. Brake drums, brake shoes, master cylinder, brake hoses, wheel cylinders,Upper control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, shocks, starter, alternator, fuel pump,Radiator-(later model-the mounting nuts were moved outward and the old holes brazed closed).Battery is 2 years old. Front and rear transmission seals, clutch and slve cylinder and clutch master cylinder and hose, voltage regulator, hoses, vacuum lines, fuel lines, carpet, upholstery, door seals, front and rear window seals, outer window squeegees-$$$,fenders,front valance, bumper, dashpad, whew I know I'm forgetting something, but you get the idea. Also included is a CD with pictures of the project from start to finish. And,if that isn't enough,I kept a journal of everything I did with a price list of everything I bought. The interior has sound deadener in the doors, roof, and under the front part of the floor. All lights (except headlights were replaced. It has retractable seat belts from a later 620.The extras are a set of stock rims w/bad tires, nice set of hubcaps,a factory tach (not installed),original bumperettes (need work),another fender, new carrier bearing, small outisde mirror, set of chrome Datsun truck tripod mirrors,Several factory service manuals, and boxes of parts. Now,like I said,I'm not a professional. I did most of the work (when possible) by myself. The truck is painted with Krylon 'Bright Idea' yellow spray paint. It was close to the factory color. I probably used 30 cans. If you don't like it,sand it and take it to Maaco. The body is not perfect, but very presentable. The tires are who knows how old,but have some tread and hold air really well. The brakes haven't been filled with fluid yet. E brakes works good. The clutch slave cylinder might be bad or stuck.Or it might need to be bled right. I can't do it myself. So,if you're a 'nit picker',look somewhere else. Also, check with your wife, parents, significant other, landlord,or whoever BEFORE you bid. The buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup of the truck.I've used Uship.com with good results. I live about 25 miles S.E. of Indianapolis. There is a $200 Paypal deposit required after the auction's end.The rest is due in cash when the truck is picked up.What you bid is the price you pay. Don't buy it,then make an offer when you see it. I can store it for awhile with no problems. It's been in my garage this long. I have a clear Indiana title in my name. There will be a bill of sale too. No warranties implied or given. It is being sold as-is. This could be a really nice truck with just a little more work. You can't find these in this part of the country. Look at the pictures,I can take more if you need them. Ask questions, too. Good luck! On Aug-23-14 at 13:51:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I Should mention that the truck is not drivable. The engine cranks, but there is no spark. Distributors and carburetors are a mystery to me.The wiring harness was a mess, but I have some electronics experience,so that helped. Btw,there's an electronic distributor that goes with. No idea if it's any good or not.
