Vehicle Detail

This is a solid 1976 MGB that runs and drives very well. It has the dual SU conversion so it's got lots more gusto that a stock '76, but be sure that it's emissions legal in your state before buying (or be prepared to return it to stock form; required parts not included). The transmission is a joy to shift but sometimes grinds going into 3rd if you rush it. It also will sometimes pop out of third, which is not an uncommon problem with these cars. The clutch is in very good shape. This car does not have overdrive. As you might expect with an old British car, it leaks some oil. The suspension seems to be in good shape and the car drives straight and true with no vibration. The interior is in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures. The dash was repaired by the previous owner with a cover that really looks very nice. The seats are both in good shape. The car includes a new "media player" radio (no CD or cassette) that fits well with the dash design. As far as the exterior goes, it could certainly use a paint job (especially the hood) but it actually looks pretty nice after a good wash and wax. I looked but could not find a single dent or ding on the car except for the chrome trim around the doors. However, my wife often tells me that I'm not the most observant person she's ever met. :-) The underside of the car is solid but has some surface rust as can be seen in the pictures. The top is fairly new and is in pretty good shape. I am selling this car reluctantly because I simply have too many cars and it is becoming a financial drain to keep them all on the road. There is no reserve on this auction and the car is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty of any kind.
