Purchased from the estate of the original owner who used the bike to get his mail and other similar errands. The bike sat for some time, but was still in amazing condition. I felt with a light cosmetic restoration we could present the bike in like-new appearance. There were light scuffs and scratches on the following parts (which were professionally color-matched and repainted) skidplate, right sidecover, front and rear fender, rear brake pedal. Frame, handlebars, forks, shocks, swingarm are all in original condition and all completely straight. All chrome is shiny-new. All bolts have that NOS gleam. Bike has accessory Honda headlight and taillight and switch gear, all work perfectly and are in excellent condition. The grips and levers were replaced with Honda OEM components. Tank is perfect with original paint and decals, with the exception of a few tiny scratches and one small rub blemish as seen in photos. The seat has a few tiny cracks (no more than ¼” long – see photos). Side panels are complete and un-repaired with original paint and decals. Left side cover has star crack at mount (see photo), right has crack on upper lip and star crack at mount (see photo). The exhaust had the common paint loss so was stripped and refinished with VHT hi-heat paint, and is a perfect match to the original finish. It has no leaks or damage, but for some reason the original owner replaced the stinger with an aftermarket screen-type spark arrested unit. The bike is very quiet. The engine runs flawlessly, starts easily and settles into a nice idle right off the start. It has no oil leaks or gas drips. Cosmetically the engine looks new, left side is original and has never been touched. Wheels are perfect, no gouges, spokes still shine. No tire iron has ever been used on them. Tires are original and show true low-hours (see photos). Everything is original to the bike as when sold as new, except for the above-mentioned items. I pride myself on honest descriptions which has resulted in my perfect eBay rating. This bike is near flawless with no hidden damage. You can find other TL’s for less, but you’ll pay for it later.
