Vehicle Detail
1977 Crewcab high boy (early '77) with 351M engine, NP435 4-speed transmission, divorced NP205 transfer case, Dana 60 Front and Rear with 4.1:1 ratio. Low pinion front with kingpins and power disc brakes. Power assist steering. Air conditioned truck but missing the compressor. I bought this truck with good intentions, and it's an excellent base to build upon, but I have too many other classic crew cab projects and reality has set in. The truck runs good (idles fast when cold) and drives around in the field well. The only functional problem is that the brake booster doesn't return the pedal after you apply the brakes -- you have to lift it from the floor with your foot. Also the exhaust needs work. The truck has been off the road for about 8-10 years. It has a lot of rust on the outside of the bed but the inside of the bed is ok and the tailgate is nice. The tailgate is actually nearly perfect with the Ranger trim. All 4 doors have rusty bottoms. The front floor pans are rusty but new replacements are included with the sale. There is some rust on the drip rails also. The front clip is rust-free. The previous owner maintained the truck well since 1983 (recent additions from a mileage standpoint are clutch, rear springs, driveshaft, etc), and I found him to be an excellent individual. He was the 2nd owner. It has around 111,000 original miles. He had replaced some body parts in the past. The rear seat is excellent, as are the door panels. The headliner is good. The floor mat, dash pad, and front seat show normal wear. See additional photos: http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/Fomoco390/library/ Update: I had listed the wrong axle ratio. This has the 24R code Dana 60 4.10:1 ratio, not 3.54:1. Sorry, I was apparently thinking of a different truck that I had before.
