Vehicle Detail
1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar I This car is a 2 year only model (1964 & 1965), although the body style was completely different in 1965. 1964 production was 11,084 units, so you don’t see this car very often! It was Oldsmobile’s version of the Chevrolet Impala SS, which means it got all the “goodies” from the top of the line Starfire … the 394 cu. in. engine (with 10.5:1 compression, 345hp, and a whopping 440 ft. lb. of torque!), dual exhaust, 11” brakes instead of the standard 9”, 8” wide tires instead of the standard 7.5”, bucket seats, and console with tachometer. It’s also equipped with power steering, power brakes, a 3-speed automatic transmission, and push button radio. All of which were options on this car. It’s all original inside and out. The engine and transmission were rebuilt and have less than 500 miles on them. The cylinder walls were bored out to .00030 over, so it’s actually 400 cu. in. All new belts, hoses, gaskets, and internal components were installed except for the block, rods, and crankshaft (which was reground). It also has new tires, battery, exhaust (from the engine back), brakes (including wheel cylinders), and a rebuilt radiator. The engine compartment has been completely restored to factory original, right down to the glass bottle for spare windshield washer fluid. The interior has been redone with new head liner, sail panels, package tray, door panels, and carpet. The driver’s seat was re-upholstered, but the passenger seat and back seats are original. The driver’s seat has a small hole in it (I’ve include a picture of it). The trunk has new factory spatter paint, spare tire, jack, jack instruction decal, and seal. I have many receipts for the work done on this car. I’ve owned it for 9 years and it has been garage kept during that time. All electrical items work, including the tach on the console! The body and chrome are in good condition. The trunk and floor pans are solid. The person I bought it from said it had been repainted at some point. I don’t have a build sheet, but you can look up the VIN number and it will tell you what came on the car. This car is a beautiful driver and is 99% factory original specifications. I did replace the points with electronic ignition. This is the only thing I did that’s not original. I drive it to car shows and occasionally around town. It always gets a lot of attention and positive comments! In the 9 years I’ve owned it, I’ve never seen another one in such great condition. MILEAGE IS NOT ACTUAL $25,000.00 invested, my loss your gain I HAVE SOLD MANY HIGH $$$ ITEMS, CARS BOATS, AND WATCHES......BID WITH CONFIDENCE
