So, as you can see, this is a 56 year old 1958 BMW R50 500cc with Earles forks, Solo Seat and vintage Ural sidecar. Found in a 80+ year old woman’s garage. Husband had passed many years earlier. Remarkable garage find. Sitting in the dry garage for 40+ years? This R50 is a rear time capsule. Paint is faded, no rust/rot. As you can see it's in decent shape with only 19166 miles showing. I have tried to photograph all the blemishes on the bike, which are considerably few given it's 56 years old. This is an original, unrestored, starts right up (see video) and ride off with no issues type of bike. The engine starts right ups (cleaned carbs, cleaned gas tank, changed the oil, checked the brakes = all working) Looks like original paint, grips, light. Has a few small dents and blemishes. Seriously though, it starts on the first kick if you prime the carbs right and know what you're doing. She seems to all there, the important stuff. No tools or manual. Tires are decent and once fully serviced; you could just drive it as she is. She has that cool 60 year old patina look to her. Side car is very cool too. Vintage ural sidecar and it is all there, including a good spare and rear trunk, tonneau cover, windshield (not in photos). Finally your Girl, boy, better half can ride in comfort with you. Add a second solo seat and 3 adults can ride her! I will only let go of this beauty to someone who will really appreciate it as I do.
