Vehicle Detail
This Jeep is the "ultimate" on/off road Wrangler. It is the highly desirable pre 2007 Rubicon model, with the 4:1 transfer case, air operated lockers. It goes one step past that though, it was professionally converted to a 5.7l Hemi drivetrain ($25K I asked the company who did it!), complete with a/c, cruise, etc. It is magnificent with how well it runs (almost 400hp!), how well the ac works, etc. The Vehicle looks good (8 or 9 out of 10) runs fantastic (11 out of 10) It is lifted 6", has nearly new 35" BFG All terrains on it. Now the good and the bad news - The bad news is the vehicle was totaled by insurance when a tree fell on it and crushed the roof and bent the tub in back a little. It kinked the tub just a little behind the doors and put a dent in the hood. The good news is I bought it that way and had a body shop straighten the tub out, with no additional body work or painting. The replacement hard top fit on it and bolted right up as a testament as to how close to spec it is. The slight deformities are so small that it really wasn't worth doing any paint work to. My credit union financed it for me, so don't be shy to ask yours. So instead of spending 80K+ on a hemi jeep from AEV, then be afraid to take it off road, get all of the performance and usability at a fraction of the price. I have taken it to the sand dunes a couple of times, its the king of the hills! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a Hemi Wrangler Rubicon in fantastic condition. I have drove it about 7K in 2 years as a fun summer vehicle, usually with the top off. On Aug-09-14 at 11:20:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I have attached a photo of the sticker on the back of the jeep of the company who did the conversion. I contacted them before I bought it, the details I confirmed were: the jeep was nearly new when conversion was done. The company rebuilt the drivetrain prior to installation. The cost was approx. $25k for the work. In regards to a warranty - the vehicle is 9 years old. Although it is a great vehicle, it doesn't have a warranty. Also I just want to make sure I am clear - this isn't a perfect vehicle it has the blemishes and imperfections associated with a 9 year old vehicle. I did take a picture showing the hood dents I mentioned in the original add, just so everybody can see them. The hard top was one I had from another jeep, it has scuffs and scrapes and normal handling damage from being removed and installed for the summers. it is a great, rare vehicle that is probably the most capable "oem based" jeep ever created
