Up for sale is this one off custom, built entirely by Newhouse Speed Shop. Retro, cafe racer styling with modern performance and handling. Powered by an upgraded Honda V twin motor and stripped of all unneeded weight this is an attention grabbing custom that accelerates hard and handles superbly. This is truly one of a kind.It started as a totally stock Honda Hawk GT (NT650) that was tore down to the frame and rebuilt into this modern take on the classic, cafe racer style. Hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars have gone into creating this rolling work of art. Parts had to be sent to Europe, pieces had to be machined and things needed to be fabricated. It has been a labor of love. Completely tore down to the bolts and rebuilt. Motor has been fully broke in and it now has 265 miles and is ready for it's new owner and second life. Just completed a long 140 mile trip to Austin, Texas and back. Took it down Lime Creek Rd. and it handled the tight, technical curves like a champ. Out handled the CBR600 F4 we brought as a comparison. It's also a great bike around town. Light weight, compact size, low seat height and gobs of torque make it a very usable bike in tight urban areas. Mods:-Complete CBR1000RR front end (with the radial mount master cylinder)-Modified the rear spindle to except the VFR800 4 lug rear wheel-Steel, Galfer brake lines and new pads-Routed rear brake line through the swing arm-Modified CBR passanger pegs to use as rider pegs-Shortened the levers and bar ends-One off sub frame-Cafe style rear seat padded with super bike seat foam-Bored out the motor from 647cc to 696cc-Wiseco hi-comp pistons raising compression from 9.2:1 to 11.0:1-Fully rebuilt top end-Full M4 race exhaust, ceramic coated and wrapped with a hammer formed tip-Fully rebuilt carbs and installed a jet kit-Acewell gauge-Relocated switches to the top clamp-DCC bates style headlight-Biltwell tail light-Relocated plate and regulator/rectifier under the seat-Heavily modified wiring harness with turn signal delete -All new fluids and fully tuned up-Stripped weight and added some Paint Ready to ride anywhere and everywhere.
