Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1990 300D that I purchased last October from a seller in Florida. We had power steering, brake system and antifreeze systems flushed and refilled. Also new heat/ac blower motor and all vacuum pots that control the system replaced also rear brake pads, drive line flex disc and shift linkage bushings replaced. So now the heat and air work , the brakes are in excellent condition and the front end was aligned and checked out. Engine runs great with a full service. Runs down the road straight with even braking. Cruise control, power door locks and power mirror work as should. The right rear window does not go down. The sun roof opens but the wind deflector does not extend. Original radio works great but antenna does dot retract. Not sure when the repaint was done , has sun damage and surface scratched from storing items on flat surfaces. Windshield has scratches from sand when using wipers not bad enough for me to replace, (Florida car), just letting the buyers know. Interior is great with some vinyl shrinking or coming loose and left bolster vinyl cracking on drivers seat upright, the edge that takes the most wear when getting in and out, see pics. Some of the knobs for the power seats are missing, but the power seats work. Tires look almost new and wheels are in good shape with minor scratches and some very hard to remove gunk. . In March we found a 93 M-B 300D and purchased it with the intent of selling this one when the transmission started shifting funny and took to my independent M-B shop for a look, ended up having the transmission rebuilt for $3300 and now runs and drives great. This would make a great commuter 33-35 mpg or run around car and I would not shy away from driving cross country. I've tried to describe the Benz the best I can, both the good and bad, but remember this is a 24 year old car and thus being sold as is. It appears the mileage is correct which is a big plus. The body is straight with NO rust. Underside is clean with no rust, you won't find that in a rust belt car. When the trans was out I had shop install a new rear main seal, while the old seal was not leaking it's easy to do with trans out and will be good for years. While the paint is not the best it is shiny and looks good from a few feet away. I'm sure my M-B shop would talk to interested serious buyers so you can contact me for phone number. I have spent over $5700 on this car for repairs, I had no idea how expensive to repair heat/ac and transmissions, so expensive repairs are completed, should be good to go other than the few items mentioned here, . I suggest you get an inspection or come and look at in person and you can see the car is as described. I can help with shipping if needed or maybe deliver or meet half way for very reasonable charge depending on the location, or I could pick you up at airport and then drive your new car home. A $500 deposit is due 24 hr from close of auction using Pay-Pal, cash at pick-up or by check with funds clearing before releasing car, title is clear and in my name. I've purchased 4 vehicles on E-bay with this being my 1st to sell and I will do everything I can to make it a smooth transaction. It is also for sale locally so could end early. Good luck and happy bidding. Low starting bid with no reserve You can call me with questions, Kurt 580-641-1916. Please remember bid with the intention of buying, don't have the money don't bid. relisted because of non paying bidder. .
