Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1999 BMW 328i convertible, approximately 139600 miles, 6-disc CD changer, leather seats, and a properly working new power soft top. The car never been in an accident, has a clean CarFax and clean AutoCheck, and the factory VIN labels are still on all body panels. I have a clean and lien free title on hand. Car runs and drives great, engine and transmission work perfectly. Drives and stops straight, tires wear evenly and have about 50 percent tread remaining. The body, paint finish, and interior is in above average condition for the year and the car looks as nice as it does in the pictures. Please be realistic.....this is a used car so there are some minor dings and a little wear here and there. With that said, there are no warning lights on or any strange engine or transmission noises; runs very smooth and handles like a BMW should. A/C blows ice cold. There is no rust on this car anywhere. The car is still the way it came from the factory and unmolested. It is reliable and very economical and gets around 30 MPG. The headliner needs to be installed and is included as well as a new BMW replacement plastic corner kit for the headliner. The only flaws I can think of is a small tear in each front seat (visible in the photos) and the exhaust sometimes bumps against the mounts when taking off fast from a stop (never while driving, regardless how spirited you drive). Car doesn't smoke, use any fluids, and the temperature gauge is always in the middle even with A/C running in stop-and-go traffic. Many new parts (have all receipts) in the last few months: Hartz premium cloth soft top, tension straps, tension cables, top cover lift struts, and rear tension bow gasket. Brake pads front and rear and new wear sensors. Motor and transmission mounts, driveshaft center bearing, battery, wiper blades, transmission filter/fluid, engine oil/filter, air filter, air intake boot, and many more small parts. All parts are OEM replacement parts.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you buy any convertible make sure that the top is in good condition and is working properly as those repairs are expensive. All those issues have been fixed on this car by replacing those parts and the top moves up and down by pushing a button as it should, doesn't leak, and is quiet when closed. This one has the fully automatic top and all you have to do push a button. Check the value on KBB or NADA and compare it to other E36 convertibles and you'll see that my price is very reasonable, especially considering all the new stuff and condition of the car. We are planning on moving and that is the only reason I am selling it. Car is paid for so it is not "a must sell" situation. Buyer is responsible for pick up or making arrangements to get the car shipped, I will cooperate with your shipping company at my end by meeting with the driver. Car is located at ZIP 65584 (central Missouri) right off Interstate 44. Car is sold as is, where is, with no implied warranty. Car and title will not be released until payment clears. I have more pictures I can send upon request (eBay only allows 24). Check my feedback, feel free to ask question, or have the car inspected before the end of the listing. On Aug-06-14 at 18:11:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I had some questions about the thermometer in the dash vent. I placed it in there to show how cold the A/C is blowing on a hot day; the ambient temperature was 96 degrees (displayed on the Trip Computer) while the temperature at the vent was 42 degrees. Some more answers to questions I was asked: The car comes with the original owner's manual in the BMW leather pouch. I have the security code for the radio. Car has factory alarm and I have one key and one remote (for the alarm and door locks). Also included is a printed copy of the Bentley E36 repair manual (700 pages). The fuel filter is new. The exhaust system doesn't leak, the car is whisper quiet, at idle you can barely hear it run....you have to look at the tachometer to know it is running. It drives and stops straight and does not pull to either side. The power windows, locks, and cruise control work. All the lights work. I hope I covered everything.
