Contact Chris at 312-878-8711, chris@motoworkschicago.com, or through ebay for any questions. We have a lot of time, effort and money into listing this motorcycle on ebay. Please be respectful of that and be certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US and Canadian bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US or Canada and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, please e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will gladly add you to the list that allows you to bid. This bike is too cool! It's a 1962 R69S with a 1974 R75/6 engine in it. If you are familiar with riding BMW /2s, this thing will blow your mind. The chassis gives that same, old-timey, plush, gentleman's ride, but the engine has other plans. This baby hauls ass! It's like a regular /2 with a fast forward button. The engine runs and sounds great. Our vintage BMW specialist gave it a full tune-up, so it's running like it should. And the bike goes down the road nicely and handles the way it should. The speedo and odometer are working properly. The electrical system needs some attention as the lights, horn and electric starter are not working, so the bike must be kick-started. The front brake cable is missing and the brake arm on the drum is not activating the brake. The center stand pivot points seem to be worn out. It over extends a bit when the bike is on the stand which means it requires a little more effort to get it off the stand. The paint on the tank is in excellent condition and looks like a pro job. Very smooth and shiny. The rear fender is pretty nice but it looks like not quite as much care was taken as was with the tank. The front fender looks like it got bent up at the front and was hammered out but not done professionally. There are visible dimples under the paint. The rest of the bike appears to be in original paint which looks good but definitely shows its age. The tires are Avon Super Venoms and are in excellent condition. There are TONS of pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 312-878-8711, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact us through ebay. The bike is located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 312-878-8711 to set up an appointment.Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding.
