Vehicle Detail
Great car for restoration. Virtually rust free, Texas car, located now in Western New York State. Many factory options. Rare color. Will be happy to show to any interested parties. Bullet Bird, Tbird, T-bird, 1961.1962.1963. V8 On Jul-18-14 at 21:14:25 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: I have lowered the already fair reserve to be sure that this very nice piece of American old school Muscle finds a good, new home. I've had her long enough, and she deserves to be enjoyed, not just stored! Thank you for all of your interest. Especially to all bidders- for your interest in winning this T-bird! I tried to post a pic of the included factory wheel covers and rear fender skirts, but was unable to upload it, sorry. In answer to questions posed: The under carriage is solid and presents as new with the original factory undercoating still in place, the only exception is a soft spot in the center of the front drivers floor, which is easily fixable. The suspension is level front to back and side to side, which is unusual for these cars. The car will run, but don't expect to hop in and drive it around. The gas tank was physically punctured thanks to a misplaced jack by a well meaning helper while in storage, so it is currently run off of a temporary small electric fuel pump using an attached pick up tube that can be placed in a can of gas. Gas and brake lines are original and like new. Original fuel pump is still in place as well. Points were adjusted and new coil installed to assure proper spark after being in storage last ten years or so. Car is virtually rust-free, but has small, fixable dents and a few creases, again, from storage. Car has the original coat of factory paint, as seen in the pictures. Trunk compartment very solid throughout. Interior all there and usable as is, and will need recovering of some sort, headliner needs replacing- bows are there. There are extra trim parts in the trunk, and a jar of small parts, hopefully including the small window switches that sit on the center console. It has factory air conditioning, but will that will need repair, including another compressor. All in all, this is a GREAT candidate for an amateur or professional resto: a very, very solid, Southwestern car that's never seen salt, is fully optioned, completely original and unmolested, and a rare color combo car. It is sold as is where is however, so if you have questions before the auction, or want to set up a time to see it, please feel free to ring me at 585 503 8962. My name is Dave. Thank you for all of the interest and to those of you bidding! Lastly- PLEASE- get a kid involved in this old car hobby, it's a wonderful way to bond, teach an appreciation of how things used to be made.. thoughtfully engineered.... and totally cool! Good Luck to All!
