I drove this truck 30 miles this morning, no major complaints. 77 was the last year for the coveted High Boy. These trucks are the next big thing collector wise according to Hemmings. I’ve owned quite a few of these trucks, sold a few on eBay, they have all gone back east to guys fixing and flipping. Of course next to impossible to find any vintage 4x4 in rust free condition in the eastern US. I found this truck in a rural Idaho mountain town. This truck sold a few days ago on a no reserve auction for $3550 after I cancelled a $4000 bid from a newbie and another bidder at $3750 whom changed his mind. The winner at $3550 with good FB got no response. The motor is a 400 which runs very well. No internal noises or smoke. Aftermarket Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4 barrel electric choke carburetor. Aftermarket headers and dual exhaust. Exhaust has a hot rod sound. There is a slight exhaust leak. Power assist steering, disc front brakes. I put gas in the factory behind the seat tank, there are saddle tanks as well, I have not used them. BODY I could not find any areas of notable rot. Of course surface rust in spots. This is one of the straightest Ford trucks I’ve had, original paint except for the tail gate shows what we have. Tires are 95%, floors and bottoms of doors are excellent. Check out the pictures on the link for angles on everything. The tool box with air tank for the air horn included. Hitch with locking pin (key in ash tray) included. I think this truck is a perfect restoration candidate. You will not have the expensive rust repair you see in most. I’ve driven this truck a total of 50 miles, I did not find any problems, but I do not recommend putting this truck on the highway for interstate travel at this point, needs more looking over. I did not steam clean this truck, left it exactly as I received it. I want the new owner to see the whole story. This truck is a project, there are flaws not mentioned, look at all the pictures to determine condition for yourself.
