Up for sale is an honest, clean 1978 Ford f350 Crew Cab. This is the 9100lbs model, very heavy duty. It has had a repaint 10-15 years ago and shows well although it does have some scratches/small dents form use. 460/C6/Dana 70. I am the third owner. Prior owner changed the rear ratio from 4.11 to 3.54, it will go down the road 60-65 no problem. Truck has A/C from factory but is not functioning. I drive this truck all the time, many thumbs up from other people. I have clear title in my name along with the original owner card, owners manual and partial mile log. Original owner purchased here locally in 78 with a brand new 32ft 5th wheel. He travelled the west up to 98 at which point he sold the truck to the 2nd owner, at the time it had less than 82k original miles. 2nd owner used truck for around town and dump runs. I also have the original bill of sale from the Ford dealership. When I bought the truck it was the quintsential old guys truck (perm handi cap sticker, clock velcrowed to the dash, compass mounted to dash, back off Yosemite Sam mud flaps) all that was missing was a bug guard. Since I have bought the truck I gave it a tune up (wires, plugs, cap, rotor) replaced the valve cover gaskets, replaced the heater core, replaced the steering box/rag joint. I have driven this on 400+ mile trips without any issues. Honest, nice old truck. Unfortunately the left rear tire blew out and made some minor bed damage (photos attached). I checked LMC and parts are about $450 to fix. I have just replaced all the wheels/tires with new 16" steel rims and 245/75/16E tires. I got rid of the original 16.5 rims. I do not have the left bed side upper trim, it was damaged when the tire blew but I do have the hub caps and the belt line trim. It tows very well even with the 3.54 rear gears. I have seen some junk crew cabs for sale, for high prices on ebay. This is an honest old truck with documented history. It does need a little bed repair from the tire and some attention to the drip rails on the roof, otherwise no rust (see photos) or damage.
