Vehicle Detail
1969 AMC Rambler Rogue 2 Door Hardtop V8 American- AMX Bucket SeatsUp for sale my beloved 1969 Rambler Rogue that I've owned for about 15 years and which came stock with a 290 V8. I used to drive it, but decided about 5 years ago to pull the 290 after finding a virgin 401 to install. I have since sold the 401 and had already gotten rid of the stock 290, so this auction does not include any engine (original transmission is still mounted in car). I installed a new charcoal carpet kit, custom installed Hooker Super Competition dual mufflers and 3" chrome tailpipes, AMX suede charcoal bucket seats in good condition (padding/foam needs to be redone), replaced the passenger and driver side doors with earlier model's (originals were gutted when I bought it), replaced rims (sorry, my friend wanted the original mags), replaced rear window seal, installed NOS steering box, replaced grill with straight one, blasted the engine compartment and painted with PPG yellow (not OEM), removed old vinyl roof / adhesive, installed stainless steel fuel and brake lines, replaced hood with straight one, replaced front fender with straight one- overall the car is straight with solid floor but there's a few small dings (nothing major) and a few small rust spots. Includes extra parts including all used 290 V8 brackets / 2 timing covers, starter, new MSD coil, new red Polyurethane frontend kit, new front and rear Addco sway bars (and mounting hardware), new disc brake conversion kit, battery, oem heater core and seal, new front and rear window seals (need to be installed), new window sweeps, new front window seal, new window clips, Includes the V8 radiator, original Rogue charcoal door skins (good condition / backing needs to be redone), additional door handles and reflectors, additional chrome body trim from earlier model... probably more I'm forgetting... will add more when I take a look in the garage. Car is currently without brakes but will roll and steer- was planning on converting to disc brakes with the kit I purchased. Buyer to pay and/or arrange shipping or pick up. Coil springs have been removed to begin replacement of front end bushings for the included poly frontend kit, heavy gauge steel rods are bolted-in replacement while upgrade is made. Car steers and rolls as previously mentioned. ****Update: The coil springs are out of the car, but I have a heavy gauge all-thread bolted into the shock towers / trunnions which hold the frontend up and since there's no motor installed, the weight of the front end is not bearing heavily on the temporary setup. I have transported the car several times on a flat bed trailer and it there was no problem. I'm not confident that trying to transport the car with a car dolly will work good, but it might. I didn't take that risk though. Car is located in ione, CA 95640 (about 45 minutes east of Sacramento).
