I collect 80's MB diesel and currently have a 1983 MB 240D for sale.92K original miles. 4 cylinder diesel (runs great) (fresh old and filters changed) (never a grease car) has a new starter and glow plugs were professionally replaced. 4 speed manual shift (shifts without issues) clutch grabs at correct position. Aside from the starter and glow plugs, most of the components are original to the car. Brakes, suspension are fair condition. A/C belt was off when I bought it, don't know if it works but switches all work. Front tires decent, rears are worn and need replaced. (185-75-R14) Original color keyed wheel covers (good condition) over factory steel wheels. Rare dark green (minor rust at rear wheel lips) Trim is good shape. Original owner struck an object with front driver's side bumper and dented driver's fender. I can acquire replacement front and rear bumpers for new owner for addition price. Black MBtex interier (tear on driver seat back) new shifter boot. NO dash cracks or rips anywhere else and is in excellent overall condition. I bought it from a young man who bought it from original owner last year. It is a nice honest driver that someone could tinker with and enjoy for a long time. I am asking less than three grand for it, but will consider other offers. I have to down size my diesel fleet.....too many cars....not enough time....Also, I am taking into account that car is on not perfect even with such low mileage. If I had time to perform all the repairs and light restoration on it, I would be asking for a lot more money. I am selling this car "as is" without any warranties implied or otherwise.
