Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 1965 Superior Pontiac Bonneville ambulance. It is believed to have been a military ambulance somewhere in California in it's early years, we have reason to believe it was an Air Force ambulance, but we are not certain. After serving the military, it became a civilian ambulance in Mariposa County California until about 1977. It was then owned by a school and became sort of a mascot, painted in the school colors and used to transport the home coming queen, etc. Apparently, the ambulance was eventually not used anymore and it sat for some time. About a year ago, a man from Clovis bought it, got it running and stopping and drove it locally in Clovis. About two months ago, I bought the car, but I have not been able to get it transported to New Jersey, therefore, I have decided to sell it. I have never seen this ambulance in person, so all I know, is what the previous owner told me and what the pictures show us. Please read everything, study the pictures and use your best judgment. The Reserve is realistic, because I want to sell it. What you see, is what you get. NO emergency lights, no siren, no stretcher, or any other items you don't see. In other words, if you don't see it, we don't have it. PLEASE NOTE; the original carburator and air cleaner are back on the car and the after market carburator and air cleaner in the picture DO NOT come with the car. There is another original rim and small hub cap in the storage compartment. To the best of anybody's knowledge, this was always a California car. The car starts up, moves, steers and stops. The engine has a valve tap, I am thinking that it may need a set of lifters, as that is a fairly common ailment with this era of Pontiac. The body seems to be solid and free from rust. The interior needs to be restored. There are a couple of rust holes in the front floor, but they appear to be repairable. It needs painting, for sure. I have been told that the frame is solid. I currently have a clear New Jersey title in my wife's name. I have some other pictures that I can forward by email, upon request. It is my hope that this ambulance will be restored, as it is fairly rare. Remember, the car is nearly fifty years old and it needs restoration. The car is SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED, OR IMPLIED. My name is Bill Marcy, you can call me at 201 954 3159, if you wish to speak with me. I will not end the auction early, so that everybody has a chance at it. I would like a $200 nonrefundable deposit through PayPal at the close of auction and the balance within seven days, either by money order, or bank wire transfer. ALL international buyers MUST pay balance by bank wire transfer ONLY. Thank you for taking the time to view my auction. I have done my best to describe this fifty year old ambulance as accurately as possible, considering that I have never seen, or touched it. However, in spite of it's flaws, this could one day be a beautiful ambulance once again. Have fun bidding!
