Vehicle Detail

1995 Cadillac Fleetwood 6 door High Top/Presidential Top limo. Conversion by S & S! We purchased it from Impala Motors in Memphis in August 2011 with 44K miles on it. The car most certainly served as a funeral limo. In 2010 it was hit on the passenger side and it was written off by the insurance company, then later repaired, thus the rebuilt title. As we understand it, what was repaired/replaced was the center door and glass.........Since August 2011, it's been the daily driver for me and has been very reliable. It is in overall good condition and has been well maintained. We have a notebook with all receipts and the service history while we owned it. The LT-1 350 CID V-8 engine has been running smoothly and despite the hefty weight of the car, it has had ample power. Starting circa October 2013 it started to occasionally very lightly sputter at acceleration. Brought the car to Christian Brothers several times for them to address the issue. Despite this, it still did not run right. They were not sure what the problem was other than they felt it could be condensation in the gas tank. I felt it was likely the fuel filter but they stated they replaced it. I then had them replace the spark plug wires. The sputtering issue may or may not have stopped but now it ran rough and had very little power. Not sure if they put the spark plug wires on correctly or not, ie, firing order or if it's the condensation issue in the gas tank or something else but she definitely is not running right and doesn't seem to be running on all 8 cylinders. I simply don't have the time, money or interest to fiddle with it any more and get it running right again as I purchased another car and need to sell this one. Time to clear up the driveway. PS: It took part in the 2012 Elvis Presley car show at Graceland! At that time it had a set of bull horns on the hood that we've since removed! THE BAD: REBUILT TITLE. ENGINE NOT RUNNING RIGHT! Runs very rough, has little power but is drivable. Has very noticeable and prominent exhaust leak. When it rains the interior and trunk gets a little wet. Interior occasionally has odor of wetness. Windshield washer fluid not functioning. Front & rear AC not cold. Rear unit likely needs freon as it was cold last year. Excessive wind noise from a couple of windows at speeds above 45 MPH. Fuel gauge is a little off. Rear view mirror has delaminated from the windshield and will need to be re-adhered. .......and: Passenger side middle door lower moulding hangs a little (visible in photo). Small dent on hood which is barely visible. Indentation in grille. The vinyl roof is good but has one quarter size hole on top center and a few other small cracks. Drivers side fender light is cracked and a portion of the glass broke off and the bumper moulding on that corner is missing. Window tint is fair with a few scratches and flaws, most noticeably drivers side front which is torn. Passenger side front window tint is missing. THE GOOD: Great looking car with only 62K original miles. Rare, hard to find High Top model. Drives, rides, shifts and stops smooth and great (when she runs right) with no major squeaks or rattles. The car has a lot of life left in it. Near flawless interior. No rips or tears anywhere. Dash not cracked or faded. Water pump, distributor, rotor, spark plug wires all replaced just before I stopped driving it in December 2013. New tires. All power features except power antenna & power trunk work. No warning lights of any type are lit up on the dash. A lot of car for the money. ......and: This has been one of my favorite cars to drive. It drove like a car should with relatively low miles on it and with it's long wheelbase and LT-1 engine it had quite a road presence and it was a joy to drive. The middle seat has been switched to face the rear for true limo feel, but can be switched back to forward facing. All glass is good!On Jun-25-14 at 17:08:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Took the car for a spin today. The first time in a while it's been on the road. It ran a little less rough than it has but still runs rough and struggles to go up hills, but boy it rides nice! For some reason, the front and rear controls of the drivers seat didn't function and the drivers side control of the front passenger window did not function. Up close pix of a small hole in the vinyl roof by the passenger rear door has been added. There is crusting of some rust by the hole. Not aware of rust elsewhere under the vinyl roof but gotta assume there is some, somewhere under the large vinyl roof. Also added pix of some hair line cracks and larger as well as one hole at some of the paint at some of the door frames. It appears to be cosmetic and not structural as if it's a thick layer of paint or a thin layer of body filler that was applied at either the body shop or by S & S coach builders when the car was converted when they cut the top of the car off and welded the high top in place. A minimal amount of rust appears at some of the cracks. Not aware of any other rust though there likely is some level of rust some where else if for no other reason than due to water leaking into the car and due to the sheer size of the vehicle. Pix of the S & S coach builder sticker at the door jamb and the rebuilt passed inspection sticker have been added. A pix of the low hanging passenger side middle door lower moulding has been added which also shows a couple of dents in it and the moulding next to it. The other lower mouldings appear good. A pix of the car with the doors open and two pix of the rear seats also added. All these new pix were taken today.
