On September 30th, 1949 this Buick was purchased in Portland Oregon. The dealership Braley & Graham, who are still in business, sold this car new for $2505.80 and the customer traded in his 1942 Buick for $840. After driving the Buick for many years he decided to make one more trip in 1965 from Portland to Canada. In 1966 with only 57k miles he decided to put it in storage. After being in dry storage I purchase the Buick and had it trailer to my dealership. Looking at this car and seeing 48 years old dirt was awesome. This time capsule comes with Original Buick fireball straight 8 and DynaFlow automatic transmission. Standard green exterior over grey and black cloth interior. All Glass is in great shape with no signs of any cracks, Interior is in great shape also with no signs of any rips or tears. It comes with the dealerships purchase order, original title, Buick owner service policy with a delivery date 09/30/1949. it still has the Canada permit on the windshield. I decided not to do any work and just sell as is. Engine spins by hand…nice rolling chassis with a working emergency brake. Undercarriage is very solid without any sign of rust anywhere. This museum piece should be brought back to originality or as a driver. Barn finds are getting harder to find and when you do find one it just amazing. We prefer final payment with Wire transfer, I have been with the same bank for over 20 years and they would be happy to assist you with this. We will also accept cashiers check (certified from US or Canadian bank) or money order, cash (in person) personal check (once cleared) PayPal, visa and MasterCard (there is a fee for this, please call first to determine the fee) I do need a $1000 deposit within 24hours at the end of auction. Sometimes I'm willing to work with buyer on giving the buyer a few more days if they are trying to obtain financing as I know this can take a few days. You would need to discuss this with me first so we can work together on this. Transport-Shipping I am happy to be an active part of this process from start to finish but the buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle and any pre-purchase inspections need to be done BEFORE auction ending. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly assist in loading and be present for the transport condition form or other reasonable help.
