Vehicle Detail
1979 PONTIAC TRANS AM Very well cared for Solar Gold T-Top Trans Am. This car is somewhat unique in that it was reportedly delivered new to Canada and is a true A/C delete car (note the different dash and vents). I had it imported back into the US in 2004. It now has a clear Arizona title. It was restored by a restoration shop in Phoenix that included a wet sand and new decals, minor suspension tuning, and a new interior. In 2005 the engine was rebuilt by a shop in Scottsdale. It has been a very dependable car for sunny day drives and has not been in the rain or winters for over 10 years. We moved to Wisconsin in 2010 and the car has been stored with very little summer driving so I am downsizing. The car has an interesting list of options which I assume comes from the Canada order. It has power windows, T-Tops, deluxe interior, rear window defrost, and remote trunk release. The stereo is upgraded with a CD and Amp. Other than the stereo, the car is stock and original. The interior is very nice (8/10) with no major flaws. The exterior is also very nice (7/10) with some minor chips and nicks but no major issues. It is not a show car, but presents very well when we have gone to drive-in shows. The mileage is unknown as the car has had changes and I cannot verify the true mileage. As stated, I drive the car about 200 miles per year and it always starts up right away and drives great. I bought the car to drive and enjoy on nice days. It is not perfect, but it is as close as I wanted so that I can drive it and not be worried. I am happy to answer any questions within reason but I am not a mechanic and do not have any skills in that area. The car is located near Appleton, Wisconsin and my preference is that a buyer inspect the car. There is a well respected car shop in Sherwood (Zero to 60) that has done minor work on the car and can give a buyer (at their expense) a full report if needed. Shipping is at the buyer's expense and all I will commit to is meeting the driver for pick-up. I am setting the starting price and reserve low with the hope that the market will determine the sale price. I am not interested in trades as I have a full storage of cars already.
