Folks, this is the real deal, a 1991 Toyota Deluxe Extra Cab manufactured in Japan (reference VIN). One owner, I bought her new in September 1991. Has the 22RE four cylinder, 5 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel drive with manual locking front hubs and manual shift front transfer case. I have driven her in every kind of weather or act of nature Texas can throw at you except a hurricane. Non-smoker, she is completely smoke free! She has never failed to get me out of any off road or on road situation I found myself in. The exterior is the factory Cardinal Red. The interior has the factory Gray carpet and jump seat covers in the back. the front 60/40 bench seat was re-padded and re-covered after 20 years. A/C blows cold and the heat is toasty. She also has a bed liner. Mechanically, this pickup is in very crisp condition. Regular maintenance over her life, and all work done by professional Toyota mechanics have combined to keep her in fighting shape. Engine is tight, clean and has no leaks. Transmission, U-joints, and rear differential are tight and noise free. She has Bilstein off-road shocks. The transmission was opened up in 2010 at 165,000 miles for the first time since she left the factory in Japan to replace some worn components. She drives smooth and quiet at highway and surface street speeds, with and without the hubs locked in or in 4WD mode. She has an aftermarket FM radio and CD player with iPod/iPhone connectivity via cable. Power steering and brakes. After 23 years, there are some life dings and character marks...see the pics, what you see is what you get. The muffler will need to be replaced...eventually, it has a small hole, but does not affect the performance of the truck. This pickup is and has been garaged for its entire lifetime. I drive her around to keep the fluids, and seals in condition. She has a brand new battery. Bottom line, this is a rare find of a daily driver that looks and runs this good at 23 years old. This is a textbook example of a well-built pickup that has had regular maintenance and care after 23 years of work and play and is still in "GAME DAY" shape.
