I have owned this BMW since August of 2010. In the last year it has been almost completely gone thru. The chassis was completely stripped of all chrome, trim, lights, glass, carpet, headliner, etc. It was then repainted in PPG base coat/clear coat to a high standard. It has many new rubber seals (doors, windshield, etc.), new sunroof cables, new carpet, new headliner and new BMW factory seat cushions. The engine was rebuilt 35,000 miles ago and starts and runs strong, no smoke, no leaks. The trans shifts perfectly and the brakes have less than 1000 miles on all new components. The car has BMW E30 bottle cap wheels with 195/60 Yokohama tires, but I have the original steel wheels and tires in excellent condition, as well as the original steering wheel. The car is fitted with early steel bumpers in place of the ugly rubber bumpers. The car had very small rust spots at the corners of the driver and passenger footwells which were cut out and new steel welded in. The car originally came out of the Washington, D.C. area and is very solid. It is now located in southeastern Pennsylvania, approx. 35 miles southwest of Philadelphia.
