This 1983 R80RT is titled in my name, and I have owned the bike since 2009. I'm the fourth owner, the motorcycle has always been well maintained and prudently driven, primarily for long distance solo touring. The speedometer/odometer is original and working and the milage is true. The motor/gearbox/final drive/exhaust has never been removed from the frame. The air pollution control plumbing required when the bike was new has been removed, a common modification, but is included with the extra parts if you should wish to reinstall it. The tank and fairing have been repainted, and the front fender and seat cowling are original paint. Included is the original toolkit, owners manual, BMW touring cases, all keys, a BMW dust cover, and a box of miscellaneous small parts/literature. The voltmeter is disconnected; all other electricals are working well. The motorcycle starts easily, runs like a swiss watch, and is very dependable, an excellent machine for long distance riding at US Interstate speeds. The motorcycle is available for inspection by you or your representative, with prior arrangement. It is available for worldwide sale, but the buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and costs. I can store the motorcycle for a reasonable time for foreign bidders to arrange pickup and shipping. I would expect a $500 Paypal deposit upon close of auction, with balance of selling price paid by wire transfer within 5 days.
