Conceived under Wilhelm Hofmeister, the same Hofmeister famous for the BMW window kink, it isn’t too surprising to find Bertone’s design sensibilities developed from the 3200CS and 2000CS. As the values of the 3.0s sharply rise, here is a great opportunity to acquire an honest and very original base for continued enjoyment or a driving restoration. Optioned with all of the desired equipment, the car comes fitted with a factory sunroof, 4-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power windows and original leather upholstery. Recently discovered, this E9 remains stock and unmodified with portions of original paint and correct factory fitted upholstery. All glass is original, including the windscreen with BMW instructional sticker. Door jamb, engine and trunk decals remain affixed. The cabin shows exceptionally well for its age with proper Blaupunkt radio, while exterior finish is of preserved driver quality. A few typical spots of corrosion have been found (pictured), although no structural damage is present.
