Vehicle Detail
This listing is for an 1971 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS 4-DOOR SEDAN. I reckon that whoever buys it will do so to part it out but could drive it home. I bought this car about a decade ago for the same reason - just for the engine. When I looked under the hood I was surprised to see all new belts and hoses, dry engine-block, new filters, etc. I put a battery in it and drove it home. Then I replaced the horrible front bench seat with a pair of Volvo 240 seats, put tags on it, and drove it for many years. This is the base model car (no "S" or "Supreme") but did have factory A/C (I can't recall whether I ever had that working). I had to replace the heater core, which I did by cutting the plenum cover and then duct-taping it back on (it's since fallen off so you'd have to put it back on to have heat). Even though it only has a two-barrel carb it has a factory posit rear end and WILL BURN RUBBER. Speaking of which, I swapped the stock 14" steel wheels with a set of 15" alloys with a set of tires that cost far more than the car was ever worth at any time that I've owned it. This item is for pickup only. Please understand that I cannot negotiate post-sale for partial refunds/returns. Feel free to ask any questions - I'll do my best to answer them and will post what might be useful information for others. I encourage you to view the feedback I've received from my previous buyers. Bid high, bid often - heck, it's what I'd do (much to my wife's dismay) if I weren't setting up auctions.
