Vehicle Detail
I am advertising this motorcycle for sale locally. I may end the auction at any time, if I get a good enough offer from someone who says that they do not use eBay. A really nice motorcycle. It has the look of a garage kept motorcycle. I bought it to ride to and from work, but don't any more. Otherwise, we have very little time to ride it. It has aftermarket pipes on it, which are baffled. It is a lot louder than stock, but not as loud as with no baffling. I do not have the original pipes/mufflers. It has a custom paint job. The rear suspension has a "Hard Tail" look. There is no easily seen shock absorber(s) nor spring(s). The shock absorber and spring is out of sight, in front of the tire, under the driver's seat. It has an aftermarket passenger backrest and an aftermarket chrome cover plate on the radiator. See the photographs. I had the front tire replaced in 2012 and it has less than 1,000 miles on it. The rear tire was on it when I bought it; it is older, although obviously much newer than original; it is in very good condition and has good tread on it. The man I bought it from in 2010 said that he had just had the battery, spark plugs, and wiring replaced. He kept in a garage and I have also. Before that I'm not sure, but it certainly has the look of a garage kept motorcycle. The chain is well adjusted right now, but is nearing the end of adjustment. There is some wear and tear, scratches, etc., and a couple, or more, very small dents. See the photographs and the condition description. It has a water cooled, 600cc engine with a single carburetor, but has plenty of power for highway riding. With the combined total of about 420lbs for my wife and me, it has no trouble maintaining 55mph on the steepest local highways on stretches that allow that speed, has no trouble accelerating back up to speed after taking curves; it has no trouble doing 70mph on the steepest interstate highways by us. Driving it easy, to and from work, I got about 60mpg. That can obviously vary, depending on how it is driven. It is light weight, about 400 lbs, and very low to the ground for a full size motorcycle. I am about 6' 1" with long legs for my height. My wife is a couple inches shorter but has legs about as long, and is heavier than I am. I could drive a much higher, bigger motorcycle, but have found it to be very comfortable, even for hours at a time. My wife finds it to be very uncomfortable as a passenger, but she is a very large lady. The seat is wide for the driver, but not as wide for the passenger. I would think that most people, even if they are a fair amount taller, and larger, than average, would find it comfortable as a passenger. The owner's manual and the factory supplied tool kit is included. Two helmets are included. The older Gmax brand helmet is a size XXL, has the slight amount of mouse chewing on the liner, and is more noticeably scratched. The newer Fuel brand helmet is a size L, is only very, very slightly scratched, but is otherwise like new. Both have adjustable air vents. See photographs. On May-31-14 at 08:09:49 PDT, seller added the following information: By the way, it cranks right up, and runs really great. When cold, it will bog down with a sudden wide open twist on the throttle, but after a few minutes of warming up, it runs really great. I have made a point of driving it at least 10 miles, at least every two weeks. On Jun-01-14 at 06:18:58 PDT, seller added the following information: As pointed out by someone else, this is a TWO CARBURETOR model NOT a single carburetor. I took off the air cleaner holder and looked to be certain. It is a little difficult to see between the two cylinders, otherwise. After looking into it a little more, I believe that it is a VT600CD, the Deluxe, not a VT600C. It has what looks like the soft, tufted seat, and more chrome on the engine. And it is a 1994 model, NOT a 1993 model, even though the serial number label on the frame says June 1993. I apologize for the mistakes.
