Vehicle Detail
This listing is for 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Series 5 Window Pickup. This pickup has a rebuilt 283 V8 with a 2 barrel carburetor and has approximately 38,000 miles on it. The engine had a full tune up just over a year ago and runs perfectly. The engine has no regular leaks of any fluids except a few drops of oil when it is first started up. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic and shifts smoothly. This truck will cruise at 65 down the highway with no problems, it doesn't pull either way, shake, or skip a beat. The front and rear ends of this truck are out of a Monte Carlo so it does have power steering, power brakes and tilt, which all work great. The wheels are American Racing Torque wheels and are in good condition. The paint is hugger orange and does have some scratches, chips, and wear throughout as it is over 5 years old and this truck is a cruiser. The wood in the bed is not in good condition as I like the worn look. Easy and inexpensive to replace if you like the clean look and have a few hours. The interior has late 90s model Silverado seats with belts and a custom built center console with black carpet. I attempted to post as many pictures as possible so you can get an idea of what condition the truck is in. If you have any other questions feel free to send me a message and I will respond in a timely manner. There is no reserve on this truck as it needs to be sold to fund other projects. The truck is sold as is, no refunds. I can assist with shipping if that's the option the final winner chooses. I have had great success with Uship.com as you can post the vehicle you need shipped and choose from a number of different options. I would suggest using the site unless you have a company you've used before. A deposit of $500 is due within 72 hours or the close of the auction. This ensures me that you are committed to buying the truck and that I do not need to relist it (we all know this happens). I will accept any form of legitimate payment as long as it clears before the truck is shipped or picked up: cash, check, money order, cashiers check, etc. On May-25-14 at 16:20:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Adding a few items in response to messages about the truck and items I forgot to include. All the gauges, the windshield wipers, the heater, and the lights work properly. The title is clear so as soon as I receive payment, it can be sent certified mail to you or sent with the truck. I prefer cash for this truck but if you have a trade offer, please make it as I enjoy all types of vehicles. On May-26-14 at 18:28:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I've received a few emails regarding the condition of the truck. The 5 Window was built as it sits now in the early 2000s before I was the owner. The paint is of similar age so it does show so cracks, chips, and blemishes because it has been used as a cruiser to attend car shows. I don't have photos of the undercarriage but it's is very clean, just has some lite dirt that needs to be washed off. No rust anywhere. This is not a $50,000 show truck but rides well with the Monte Carlo front and rear end, power brakes and power steering, has a solid 283 in it and looks good. It is hard to find reasonably priced 54 5 windows as they are either in poor shape and need plenty of work or are expensive because of a full restoration or customization. This truck is in the middle as it runs great, has a solid body and allows you to look good while cruising it without worrying about damage to the $50,000 you put into it. On May-29-14 at 19:55:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Just another update to the listing. I failed to mention that the truck does have the subframe out of the same Monte Carlo which also supplied the power steering and brakes came from. This provides for a smoother ride then stock 1950s pickups. On May-31-14 at 10:58:28 PDT, seller added the following information: This should be the last update to the listing. I've been asked a few times about the undercarriage and if I have any photos. I borrowed a friends set of ramps today and snapped a picture or two. It is difficult to get the front end as it is too low and would've rubbed on the ramps and the photos don't come out well when I just jammed the camera under there. As you can see in the photo the undercarriage is in good condition with no rust. I did spray it off this morning but there are a few spots of dirt here and there that I missed. It could obviously use a thorough cleaning by one of those heated sprayers but again this is a cruiser so the undercarriage is never shown.
