The pictures are an accurate description of this Avanti. The exterior is flawless as is the interior with new leather front seats. There were just over 200 Avanti convertibles produced. This Avanti drives like a sports car. It has special sport suspension with Hotchkis sway bars, Edelbrock trailing arms and KYB shocks for fantastic handling. The well-tuned 305 GM engine has been compression and dyno tested. It is joined with an efficient four speed automatic transmission. The car has been driven frequently (not stored), so reliabity is well-proven. A note of caution...the car and the color attract a lot of attention on and off the road. Be prepaired. Another note...This is not a "Studebaker" where the last Avanti was produced in December 1963. A succession of manufactures improved the earlier cars and this 1989 Avanti was produced by the Avanti Automotive Corporation. It is a truly modern car. New car price was $56,700.
