Vehicle Detail
As you can tell by the pictures, this is a very nice 1985 Goldwing. They only made 5,372 Limited Editions in 1985. It has computerized fuel injection and a trip computer, which was not very common in 1985. Everything I have tried works except the horn. The Dunlop tires are in great shape. The motorcycle was running when I took all the pictures. Bike starts and runs fine. It does smoke a little on start up but quickly clears up. The engine sounds good and the transmission shifts fine. The paint is very shiny. I believe the seat has been re-cover and it does not have any cracks. It has 61520 miles, it might have a few more when you get it as I ride it a little. Bike is not in mint condition but it is in very good condition for the year it was made. Bike sold as-is, as described, as pictured. Offered for local pick up only, if you want it shipped, you make the arrangements and pay for it. I can probably deliver within a 250 mile driving radius of Bloomfield, IA for an extra fee above purchase price. Please ask all questions before bidding. Thanks for looking!! I've had a couple questions about the smoke on start up. It is a very, very light blue. It smells like gas, like it is running a little rich on a cold start up. It does NOT smell like oil or anti-freeze. I thought it might be a touch of condensation as it disappears relatively quickly, but I'm more inclined to think it is just running a little rich when it is cold. Thanks everyone for the interest. On May-29-14 at 16:56:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I took the bike out yesterday and got it good and warm. The next morning when I started it up, there was very little smoke on initial start up (as I had described in my listing). In my opinion, I believe that it justs needs to be ridden more, and in doing so, this will keep the injectors cleaned out and eliminate the smoking problem.
