Up for auction is our 2003 Westfalia Camper. We are the original owners. I bought it on December 19, 2002 as a Christmas present for my wife from Northshore Volkswagen. It has been used as a family limo to run our two kids to and from all their activities. It has been well maintained during its 153000 miles. The engine and drivetrain run and drive well. The oil has been changed every 3500 miles. The transmission fluid was changed at 75K miles. A major maintenance service was done at about the 115K mark which included, tune-up, filters, ball joints, tie-rod end, front shocks, rear brakes and starter as well as some other odds and ends. The body and paint are in excellent condition. The paint shines very well. Never been in an accident. There are a few minor parking lot dings on the side but are hardly noticeable against the white paint. One small dent on the rear bumper. A few minor stone chips on the front. All in all it looks great for 150K miles of use. The interior is in very nice shape. When the van was new I had all the windows tinted and removed the factory curtains. (I didn't want the kids using them as hand towels) As such, the factory curtains are close to new and perfect. I just reinstalled them. All the seats are in good shape with no tearing or holes. Seats are heated. The rear and upper bed are perfect and were never used. The upper bunk still has the factory child net. ALWAYS a smoke free van. The carpets are very nice as I always had mats over them. Right front carpet has a stain from detergent bottle leaking. The radio knob has teeth marks from when our dog was a puppy. It is in great shape for its age, but please remember it is 11 years old with 150K miles on it. Most VW people are well versed in what they are looking at. Seeing that you are looking at my auction I would imagine you know and want one of these vans. We were forced to buy a Honda as VW discontinued the Eurovan. Go figure? It carries no warranties.
