Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Attention collectors – rare chance to get a 32 year old, factory original motorcycle, just like it came to the dealer. In addition, this auction includes a wide range of original CX500 Turbo memorabilia. VERY LOW RESERVE PRICE ! This motorcycle has been “in the back” of a motorcycle museum for 20+ years, rotated to display once in a while. Please look at the pictures to see that it is almost flawless and has all of the original equipment – as well as the original tires. No scratches, chips, nicks, dents, or other flaws. Note, it has spent almost all its life out of sun light so there is almost no fading of paint or stickers. This motorcycle has been driven for 189 miles in total, last time was January 1994, and then put away. Motorcycle has a valid Georgia Title. This is a standard GA title but because it had less than 100 miles when registered in 01-11-1994 (13 years after manufacturer), the following statement was put on the title over my objection; “Mileage exceeds mechanical limits of odometer”. This is not a scam, please look at the pictures – it is a brand new bike. 1982 Honda CX500 TURBO memorabilia included in the sale (# = quantity): I’ve got $1,500+ invested in these items > (1) Original CX500 Turbo tool kit > (1) 1982 CX500 Turbo Owners Manual Leather cover (Pristine Original). The mechanic that set up this bike for museum presentation screwed up. The tank has rust in it because a tiny amount of fuel was left deep inside, and the carbs appear to not have been completely drained. The engine DOES TURN OVER (engine oil was changed every 3 years). Front and rear breaks work. The shifter and clutch work. All lights and the dash gauges work (the bike does not come with a battery). If you want this for a museum, there is nothing you have to do to have a rare gem on display. If you want to ride this bike, you’ll have to de-rust the tank, get a new petcock, rebuild the carbs, refresh fluids in clutch and breaks, replace spark plugs, tune it, and get new tires. I cannot warrant that there wouldn’t be some other “surprise” but I don’t think there are other issues. $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment within 5 CALENDAR days of auction close by cashier’s check, bank wire transfer, or PayPal (and you pay all fees). The motorcycle is located in central Florida.
