1955 Chevy 2dr hardtop belair project. Car comes with loads of stainless , original front split bench seat with shells still in the car. Has a clean and clear illinois title with it " yes it matches vin tag ". Car is a project car in every sence of the word. Car was originally Coral / Grey . At some point in time it had a new roof installed which could use some finish work on the A pillar, not rottd just needs filled in around thier splice. In the late 60's the car was fitted with a transverse leaf spring and a straight axle with a 409 4spd combo . That stuff is long gone , the only thing left is some shoddy bracketry for the hair pins and spring and the 409 motor mounts. The steering box was recessed into the frame along the same time and the frame horns were messed up when they did the tilt nose . I have some good ones i can cut off another frame if they buyer wants them. If ou look in the pictures there is some bondo or lead infront of the rear tires in the lower quarters . Doors are horible shape and will need bottoms and reskinned deffinately . The front fenders have heavyy surface rust , pass side will need recapped and the doglegs will need the holes filled where they had bolts for the title nose that it use to be. I have an extra pass side fender to go with it . The floors are usable in my opinion from the middle of the front seat on back , from the seat forward will needs pans and braces . or you could just do the whole floor and save yourself the work down the road. Trunk floor is usable. Front end is just loosely bolted together and sitting on the car. If you want to have the car shipped , i will dissasemble it and put it inside the car for you . The lower front splashpans were blasted and primed . Car also comes with 2 new full rocker panels also and just a couple boxes of parts and stainless. As i said folks , it is a project , however , its a 2 door hardtop project with a good matching title . I dont know if you have ever tried to obtain a title through state laws for an old car but it is a long process that will cause many headaches . Car is located in shelbyville IL 62565 .
