This is a very solid and original car retaining the L78 YA Coded #'s 6.6L 400 CI engine and automatic transmission. This car came from the factory equipped with A/C, Tilt Wheel, PS, PDB, PW, 5-Spoke Pontiac Wheels, AM/FM radio, rear window defog, remote mirrors, and Cruise Control. This car was sold new in Camp Springs, MD to Scarlett Sanford on 8/18/1978. This car is extremely solid and is more of a survivor than a restored car. It was repainted in the early 80's and still has a nice finish. The doors still shut nice and the power windows still function properly. The A/C is not currently working and will at minimum, a retrofit to 134a (blower motor works on high only, probably a resistor). The floor pans and trunk are 100% solid and rust free with signs of blue paint showing through the undercoat on the floors. The paid has a few tiny bubbles which I have photographed. The driver window is scratched up in three areas which I have also taken a picture of. The inside of the trunk looks like it did day one, correct primer on the quarters, retains the original save a spare and inflator canister, bumper jack and the original trunk mat. The interior is all original and needs some attention. Some tears in the front seats, fading in the carpeting and door panels will need some attention. Headliner is in good shape and is original. On the bright side its 100% original and complete. The dash is perfect the original radio still powers up and works great. Everything operates like it should with the exception of the clock which is no longer functional nor is the cigarette outlet. The steering wheel is NOT cracked and it is in excellent shape. Door weather striping and window felts will need replacing as they are original and worn. The tires are in OK shape and have another season or two left.
