1973 Ford Maverick Grabber32871 miles ( supposed to be original according to the older lady I bought it from) but I'm not 100% sure on that.2dr Grabber302 V8Factory Power SteeringFactory AC! First off this car is rock solid. 98% Rust FREE! Cleanest Maverick I have seen in the Midwest by far.I bought the car from the original owner. It had sit for the last 10 years in her garage. Her son had removed the vinyl top and door the interior door panels out and she didn't know where they went so I do not have them. She purchase the tires in 2013 right before I bought it. They have less than 1000 miles on them. I got the car running but it didn't have any power so I fixed a few vacuum leaks and still rough. Thought the EGR system was plugged so I got an non EGR intake from a 66 mustang and put it on, again still ran rough. Took it to an auto shop and found out had a bent valve in a head. So I purchased a set of 351w heads and had them combed through at a machine shop, looked great so I put them on. Car ran alot better but still had some lack of power. New Cam and Lifters and she was RUNNING STRONG! About 200 miles after I got it running like a beast I noticed lack of oil pressure when coming to a stop, or low idle. I was worried so I parked it and hauled it into my mechanics shop. He ran it a while and then a noise started occurring, lack of power again. He said it was a rod starting to tick around most likely because of a cam bearing. The car still runs and drives, just has the rod noise. I don't want to put anymore $ into it as I just spend over 1000 getting it running good again, not counting the $ I have in other parts.
