SELLING WITH NO RESERVE!!! Please D O N O T bid if you do not have funds in hand and/or cannot complete the transaction! We welcome and encourage inspections during the listing time frame, additional hi-resolution photos available upon request. 1954 MG TF 1500 Roadster Chassis No. HDP46/8512 Engine No. XPEG/2146 · Striking Color Combination - Great Example of the final "TF"-1500 · Wire Wheels, Weather Equipment & Accessories · A Matching Numbers Example with a Beautiful Restoration · Ideal for all-around Vintage Auto Enjoyment Starting from the TA in 1936, the MG T-Series opened a whole new world of affordable enjoyment for auto enthusiasts. The TF, unveiled in late 1953, represented a major evolutionary step for MG with its repositioned headlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood line and raked radiator. Today, the MG TF has proven to be the most desirable of the T-Series cars as it marked the end of the series. MG aficionados hold the model in very high regard, as they believe it represents the final evolution of MG's iconic and classic design. Beautifully outfitted in Pale Yellow over Green leather upholstery, this particular MG TF benefits from a nicely mellowed restoration performed by its discerning former caretaker. The TF 1500 makes an excellent driver or local show contender in top running order. No shortcuts were taken rebuilding the roadster piece by piece, from engine and drivetrain to body and interior, using as many of the vehicle's original parts as possible. Although items such as wiring, carpet, tires, plugs, bearings, rings, seals, etc. simply had to be replaced to coincide with the standards of the build. The car is truly striking in its livery, complete with tan weather gear including folding top and a full set of side curtains and boot cover. Great examples of TF Roadsters are not often seen as restoration costs can supersede the value of the car, requiring a true enthusiast dedicated to preserving the marque. The matching-numbers engine is very strong and the mechanicals and driving feel are particularly enjoyable on this example. For all around fun and enjoyment, this particular example represents one of the most desired post-war MGs and truly embodies the essence of British motoring.
