BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED/MODERNIZED R90/6 24,930 MILES! BUY-IT-NOW PRICE $8,900.00This R90/6 underwent a thorough restoration at $10,000+ not counting the bike itself. I decided to modernize the bike while maintaining the classic appearance. It has a new high-end professional paint job with excellent hand-striping, reconditioned unique antique and now rare removeable Fulmer bags, a restored S-fairing from a 1975 S bike with a voltmeter and temp gauge (not connected), new Stainless Steel Hoske headers, crossover and mufflers from Germany which sound fantastic and enhance performance, a new Corbin seat that is very comfortable for long trips, new seat rail and stainless gas cap, all frame/wheel bolts replaced with stainless steel hardware, highly polished with all marking ground off, new R90S handlebars with new grips, new SS brake lines, new Ballistic compact battery and custom rack, new German made MRA contoured windshield which redirects air over the rider, new fold-back LS hindsight mirrors for retro look, front fork brace, Hyper lights for high visibility brake/running & new Heidenau tires from Germany. I installed new adjustable RACE TEC rear shocks and had an adjustable attenuator system installed in the forks (over $1,500). More mechanical/electrical stuff includes new throttle cable, Dyna Ignition, BOSCH "super hot" ignition coils, solid state voltage regulator, complete tank tumble and re-line, new clutch with all associated seals, new rear main seal, new gaskets throughout, carbs ultrasound cleaned and rebuilt, with all new fittings, hoses, etc, K&N air filter, gearbox, driveshaft inspected/serviced, heads/valves/cotters removed and cleaned/decarbonized, valves lapped in after cleaning/polishing, cylinders honed, ring pattern reset with fresh gaskets, push rod seals, & circlips, new brake master cylinder remounted on handlebar behind S-Fairing, new front brake pistons/pads/seals, choke line stripped/reconditioned, bevel drive & swing arm tube fully serviced, more...more routine service and reconditioning. If it could be serviced, it was done and many parts simply replaced even though operational...just freshened up the bike to increase reliability. Engine is STRONG with absolutely no leaks. I have only put about 750 miles on the bike since restoration. It has 24,930 original miles. I got this bike from a family member who rode it occasionally, but had it basically stored in a garage for many years.
