You are looking at a 2003 BMW K1200GT with only 28K miles that is in near perfect condition. This bike runs great and looks great. Many BMW enthusiasts consider the generation one K1200 series to be one of the best looking bikes BMW has ever made. Combine that great styling with superior performance and excellent balance and you have one of the best riding bikes on the road. This bike comes equipped with cruise control, heated grips and seat (aftermarket Sargent seat not connected), shaft drive, ABS brakes, handlebar risers, GPS mount attachment and electronically adjustable windshield as well as new Metzler Roadtec R6 tires front and rear. The previous owner scratched the right pannier (side bag) with his boot, so we had both pannier covers stripped and professionally re-painted in BMW Orient Blue. In addition to the removable panniers, the bike comes with a large Givi Monolock Top Case. I can’t say enough about this bike. If you have never ridden a BMW K1200, you are in for a treat! Here are the specs: Engine SpecificationsThe four cylinder, fuel injected engine displaces 1,171 cc. It is liquid-cooled and is classified as an inline four that is longitudinally flat. The bore and stroke measure 70.5 mm by 75 mm. The engine produces 130 horsepower at a compression rate of 11.5:1. The valves are arranged in the DOHC, or double-overhead-cam, configuration. Transmission and Brakes The K1200 has a six gear transmission. The front brakes consist of dual discs that have pin-slide, three-piston calipers. The brakes are LBS (Linked Brake System) and ABS (All Brake System). The rear brakes consist of a single disc, but in other respects are the same as the front brakes. Wheels and Suspension The front wheel is cast, and measures 3.5 inches by 18 inches. The rear wheel is also cast, and measures 5.0 inches by 17 inches. The suspension consists of a 45mm HMAS fork that is a cartridge-type and has 4.6 inches of travel. The rear suspension consists of a single shock, which you can adjust for preload or rebound damping. It has 4.8 inches of travel. Chassis Details The chassis consists of an aluminum alloy with triple box section and dual spar; the swing arm is a cast-aluminum alloy.
